About Our Company
Fladeboe Auctions is a Minneapolis-based,
family-owned business specializing in charity fundraising through
live auctions. Siblings Glen, Kimberly and Kristine (all auctioneers)
are passionate about carrying on the family business their
father Dale started in 1978 in Willmar, Minnesota. Today, Fladeboe
Auctions serves clients throughout the United States, including
the cities of Chicago, Milwaukee, San Francisco, Fargo, Detroit
and of course, the Twin Cities. The family considers it a
privilege to have helped raise in excess of $4.7 million in 2007 for schools and nonprofit organizations.
Glen Fladeboe
Glen Fladeboe attended the
World Wide College of Auctioneering in Mason City, Iowa immediately
after graduating high school and has been part of the family
business ever since. With more than fourteen years of experience
as a professional auctioneer, he has been instrumental in expanding
the fundraising side of Fladeboe Auctions. Glen holds a degree
in communications from Hamline University and lives with his wife in Minneapolis,
Minnesota. In his free time, he enjoys running, fishing, hunting
and reading.
Kristine Fladeboe-Duininck became
a professional auctioneer in 1995. Her love for the auction
business started nearly twenty years earlier as she listened
to her father sell everything from cattle to collectibles to
real estate. After Kristine graduated from the University of
St. Thomas with a degree in business and communications, she
quickly became part of the family business. In January 2006,
Kristine was named the 2006 Champion Auctioneer by the Minnesota
State Auctioneers Association. She placed as a finalist in the
same contest in 2004 and was also named a finalist in the International
Auctioneer Championship in 2005 and 2007. Kristine is currently a candidate for the BAS (Benefit Auctioneer Specialist) certification offered through the National Auctioneers Association. She resides in Spicer,
Minnesota with her husband Jamie and two children, Elsie and
Harris.
Kimberly Fladeboe-Anderson grew
up helping the family business by clerking, selling hotdogs
and picking up garbage after the sales. After graduating from
Concordia College, Kim spent ten years working in the pharmaceutical
industry. She went on to receive a Masters degree in Mass Communications
and Marketing from Saint Cloud State University. Encouraged
by her father, she attended the World Wide College of Auctioneering
in 1996 and joined Fladeboe Auctions as a full-time auctioneer
in 2000. In 2005, Kim was a finalist in the International Auctioneer
Championship. Kim lives with her husband Paul and their children in Detroit Lakes,
Minnesota.
The only non-Fladeboe and non-auctioneer in the bunch, Kimberly
Proffitt joined the company in the spring of 2005.
She serves as the primary auction and event consultant for the company and also manages the behind-the-scenes company operations. Her
career has focused exclusively on working with nonprofit
organizations in the areas of special events, fundraising
and marketing. She is a graduate of Middlebury College (BA
Classical Studies) and Indiana University (MA Arts Administration). Kimberly is currently a candidate for the BAS (Benefit Auctioneer Specialist) certification offered through the National Auctioneers Association.
When not working, you’ll find her studying languages,
reading, working in the garden or baking. She and her husband
Phil reside in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
After he attended the Worldwide College of Auctioneering in
1978, Dale Fladeboe opened Fladeboe
Auctions for business in Willmar, Minnesota. Since that time,
the company has grown to provide a full range of services for
fundraising, personal property, real estate and commercial auctions
across Minnesota. Dale continues to conduct auctions on a regular
basis and is extremely proud to have his children join him in
the family business. He and his wife Grace live on a 500-acre
working farm near Willmar, Minnesota. |
